Gold Fields to tour U.S. with the Aussie philosophy

goldfields

They've been tearing up dance floors across the States this past year opening for Capital Cities, and now Australia's Gold Fields are embarking on their first U.S. headlining romp. Armed with two (count 'em, TWO) drum-and-percussion kits manned by Ryan D'Sylva and Rob Clifton, and fronted by the energetic boy-next-door Mark Robert Fuller, this bombastic band of five will be sure to ignite audiences during the club outings on the schedule. The cross-country (and Canadian) jaunt was funded by a Kickstarter campaign in which two generous $500 donors will host a sleepover with the band and get served breakfast by them the following morning. Wonder which of the five guys makes the best omelet. To tide you over, enjoy the video for "Dark Again," off their 2013 debut, Black Sun (Astralwerks). It's as though Friendly Fires got a little TOO friendly with Empire of the Sun, and they gave birth to a lupine lovechild.
