Music on Top of the World
BalconyTV offers "music with a view" from dozens of locations worldwide.
I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation, and the only explanation I can find // is the music unbound by the usual common ground // BalconyTV puts me at the top of the world. Music has a beautiful ability to lift us above our problems and our earthly turmoil. Seven years ago, Dubliner Stephen O'Regan took that idea and conceptualized BalconyTV, where bands of all breeds and backgrounds would perform at sky-high venues. Already boasting tributaries in the world's most populous cities, BalconyTV has now expanded to New Orleans; Athens, Greece and Schio and Messina, Italy. The site makes it easy for anyone to indulge in normally hard-to-find gems. There are groups from Russia (not exactly known for its support of the arts) and Tel Aviv, Bogota to Delhi. The brand also boasts early performances from bigwigs like Mumford & Sons and Ed Sheeran. Additionally, artists can gain more exposure by winning the roulette-like polls splashed across the front page. It's practically an Olympic throw-down among nations. Here's a vid that struck our fancy: From Denmark, soulful singer Nanna.B.
